Universal Pictures and DreamWorks Animation announced on Monday (24) that The Boss Baby 2: Family Business will have a simultaneous release in theatres and streaming. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film will be made available for an additional fee on the Peacock platform.
This will be the first Universal film to debut simultaneously on the big screens and streaming, following the same strategy already employed by competitors like Disney and Warner Bros. Pictures.
Directed by Tom McGrath (from the Madagascar franchise), the film is a direct sequel to the 2017 original. In addition to the movies, The Boss Baby also has an animated series, whose four seasons are available on Netflix.
