Actress Rimi Sen has been part of some of the most famous films. Her fans still remember her characters from the films ‘Hungama’, ‘Golmaal’, ‘Phir Hera Pheri’ and ‘Garam Masala’.
However, Rimi could not do much in Bollywood and over time vanished from the big screen. Now she is working hard to get back into the industry.
In an interview with ETimes, Rimi said that she auditioned for several big films and despite getting good responses, she was not selected.
Rimi says, “I started my career with music videos and songs because I was working because of my financial needs. I had no degree for bread. When I am a classical dancer, the expressions come automatically. I never chose this profession but it chose me. I didn’t like to come to notice. Nor did I want attention and fame. Created a portfolio and I started getting modelling offers. Thinking that I got into films so that I could be financially safe. The only purpose of my life was to make money.”
Rimi says she was getting the same kind of role offers and was typecast in the role of comedy films. She got tired of doing all this and wanted a change for herself.
Rimi is currently looking forward to a comeback on the OTT platform. She feels that OTT has changed everything as the actresses who have crossed 30 are also able to bag lead roles in various projects.
