On the 26th of March, 2021, the Supreme Court has refused to cancel the FIR filed by Rhea Chakraborty against Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister, Priyanka Singh.
In the FIR, Rhea has alleged that Priyanka Singh provided Sushant with a fake prescription, days before his demise in June 2020.
Rhea’s lawyer, Satish Manshinde has also made a statement saying that Priyanka Singh, Dr Tarun Kumar of Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital and others may be involved in the death of late Sushant Singh Rajput. As per Rhea Chakraborty, they may be prescribing Sushant will banned drugs which may have led to the death of the actor.
After the FIR filed by Rhea, Priyanka Singh filed a petition in Bombay High Court, seeking the FIR against them to be quashed. However, the Bombay HC decided not to cancel the FIR.
Now after Bombay HC, the Supreme Court has also rejected the plea of Priyanka Singh to quash the FIR by Rhea Chakraborty. The case will now be handled by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
