IPL 2021: Devdutt Padikkal Tests Negative For Covid-19, Will Return To RCB Soon

Opener Devdutt Padikkal covid-19 status has been found negative in the investigation report.

After so many players getting infected with Covid-19, finally, there is some good news for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Opener Devdutt Padikkal covid-19 status has been found negative in the investigation report.

RCB has released a video of Devdutt on its official Twitter handle. In this video, Devdutt has thanked his well-wishers and said that he will join the team soon. Devdutt was found to be infected with corona on March 22.

However, another player in the team, Daniel Sams Covid, has been found positive. RCB take on defending champions Mumbai Indians in the first match of the tournament. But with the absence of Sams, the team is quite under pressure ahead of the first match against MI. 

So far, Sams has played only three IPL matches in his IPL career. According to the statement given by RCB, “RCB’s medical team is constantly in touch with Daniel Sams and will monitor his health and follow BCCI rules. ”
