The animated series Harley Quinn was recently renewed for season 3 on HBO Max. Now it’s time for another star to be added to the cast of the production.

Sam Richardson, who is best known for his role in the comedy series Veep was announced by producer Patrick Schumacker via Twitter as part of Harley Quinn Season 3.

Schumacker shared a publication in Variety magazine that emphasized Richardson’s desire to play the Beast in X-Men. He wrote, “I am extremely excited for this possibility and equally if not more extremely excited for the reality of @SamRichardson showing up as [redacted] in @dcharleyquinn season 3!”

Schumacker chose not to divulge which character Richardson played would be. The release date of the next season of the series also remains a secret.

Aside from Richardson’s addition to the cast, very little has been revealed about the season so far. After being somewhat pressured by the podcast’s hosts, Halpern revealed that DC’s villain, The Mad Hatter, would be making an appearance.

In addition, at the time, he also stated that although these actors did not appear on the series, he would love to have stars such as Nathan Fielder, John Wilson and Joe Pera in the upcoming seasons of the show.
