According to an exclusive report by Deadline, Netflix has decided not to move forward with the second season of Jupiter’s Legacy. In fact, the streaming platform decided to make a live-action adaptation of Supercrooks: The Heist, another comic book series by Mark Millar, which tells the story of veteran supervillains.

The platform has dismissed all cast actors from their contractual obligations, although Millar says he is “confident that we will return to Jupiter’s Legacy at some point in a different format.”

Millar shared a tweet where he announced that he is working on the live-action adaptation of Supercrooks: The Heist. As for the Jupiter’s Legacy franchise, he wants to develop all realms of the saga first.

Supercrooks: The Heist is part of the same universe as Jupiter’s Legacy, and appears to be a “solution” found by Netflix to explore this entire Millarworld saga – the comic book label written by Mark Millar – in a different way, as the series has received numerous reviews of the rhythm and look of the heroes.

With eight episodes, the first season of Jupiter’s Legacy follows the children of the greatest superheroes in history trying to live up to their parents, although they live in an increasingly complex world.

With a cast of Josh Duhamel, Leslie Bibb, Ben Daniels, Elena Kampouris, Andrew Horton, Mike Wade and Matt Lanter, the first season of the superhero series is now available on Netflix.
