Amazon Primes much awaited web-series, The Family Man Season 2 will get delayed because of the recent controversy that occurred for the platform’s Tandav and Mirzapur.
It seems the fans will have to wait a little more for the show to premiere on Amazon Prime. As of now, the release date of The Family Man Season 2 starring Manoj Bajpayee is on February 12, 2021. But, as per some reports, the show can get postponed due to the recent controversy around Tandav and Mirzapur.
As of now, these are only reports and suggest that the makers are debating on whether they should for the release of the web-series or not. If the report comes true, then it will be a huge disappointment for the fans who have been dying to watch the sequel of the show.
The trailer of The Family Man 2 was supposed to release on January 19, 2021, but was delayed due to some reasons. Fans were enraged by this and took over different social media platforms to express their disappoinment.
This move is being suggested because of the controvery regarding Tandav and Mirzapur which according to some, has hurt the sentiments of the people. Various cases have also registered for the same across multiple states across the country.
On Wednesday, Supreme Court declined to grant protection to the makers of Tandav which includes Ali Abbas Zafar, Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub and many others.
The makers are confident that there is no such scene in The Family Man Season 2 which would hurt anyone. But to stay on the safer side, the makers are planning to delay the release.
Actors Sharib Hashmi, Priyamani, Sharad Kelkar, and Shreya Dhanwanthary will be reprising their role from season one and south actress Samantha Akkineni will also be joining the team, marking her first digital debut.
